    Care Of: When new, "Oilskin Dusters and Wax Cotton Coats", may have some light oil surface residue from the manufacturing process. This is normal and will evaporate over time. If you wish to speed up the process you can use a hair dryer. Oilskin garments can be cleaned by hosing them off and hanging up to dry. Lightly use a damp sponge for spots or heavy dirt. Do not machine wash or dry clean. . Similar in look to the Western duster coat, the Australian Oilskin coat has been developed over two centuries, from it's humble beginning as the monsoon cape used by the sailors of the great oceans, to the pioneering drovers of today.
